Passover Answers

Question:

I've noticed that some products in the grocery store will say "kosher", but
they will also say "not for Passover". What is the difference in those
products and the products that say "kosher for Passover"?

Answer:

Some companies like Manischewitz sell matzoh and other products similar to
Passover products all year round.  These products are usually not Kosher
for Passover.  So not to mislead customers buying goods for Passover, the
manufacturer will print the warning on its label that the product is not
kosher for Passover.  It is a courtesy they are not required to do.
